Hello!

Growing up I always dreamed of becoming an artist. I didn't know to what capacity or profession, but it was all I could dream about or do. But, as life changed, so did I. Rather than becoming an artist, I grew up and became a Scientist! (I like to think it's a kind of art). I have a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Health Science and a Minor in Biology. I am also an Applied Genomics Research Student who spends my days sequencing mammalian DNA and figuring out how and why we Age and if we can prevent it!

I do a lot of cool stuff. I meet a lot of cool people. And one day, I would like to get my P.hD, so that I may teach and continue to learn cool things and share that knowledge.

But I have come to realize that I have lost my way. I have lost the part of me that was once considered home. My safe space. And that is creating. I used to draw for endless hours. Write till my hand hurt. And get up at the break of dawn to create ghoulish Halloween looks with makeup.

I have lost that spark. That peace. That drive.

So I'm coming back! I don't know to what capacity, but I am going to try to create more in my free time so that I may carve out that inner child of mine and hold her tight and let her create whatever her loving heart desires.
